Herne Bay

Well I was awake a 4.oclock this morning and watched it round until 6am, must be the excitement of getting out in the kit 2 weeks in a row.

You just don’t know how good it feels to do that, after being on the sidelines for months with a back injury.

The route graham picked was the Kent run 1 of the .ITNs previously run earlier in the year, a cracking route for me as I used to live around Staplehurst, and Romney when I was a wee boy.

Lovely country twisty roads and then opening up to long long straights where you can bury your right foot and clear the throat of them galloping horses, just listen to that sound of the exhaust and feel that power Woooooooow come on you beauties .

Saw a few roadkill on route but graham gave a lone pheasant another life as he slowed to allow it across to see his flat mate.

A couple of crows feeding on a not so lucky squirrel .

But what a good day we had very light drizzle as we left the moat at 7.30am but good roads from then on some damp in places but nothing to cause concern, and even met a polite driver that yielded to allow me past and let the reins loose for me to pass & blow him in the ditch.

As we pulled into Herne Bay the gods decided to have a little pee on us but it was short and sharp, then breakfast was well earned, for the motorway blat home.

Sorry graham did not see you leave me but guessed you went in the services for some juice seeing as you had further to drive home than I did, thanks for your company and hope to catch up again soon.
