Hi there

So you've just joined, why not say a few words to introduce yourself - a bit about you, your car - whatever!

Hi there

Having a Westfield and being based in Essex isn't the best place to get involved in WSCC event, looks like you have some nice runs out - so I thought I'd try here.

We are currently converting to cycle wings and then be back on the road ready for the sprint season. Our car is fairly standard and I would like to get some more miles on it, a trip to France sounds good, although as we only have a four speed box and a 3.9 diff it could be a bit wearing.

crikey Pete, that was quick off the mark! Welcome.......
France - you wouldnt regret it!!!
Yes we have lots of runs and many start from a couple of miles South of Brands - so 15 mins from the Bridge ( we can tailor some to start there if we know someone would need/prefer that)......and we sometimes have runs up your way too - not as many for sure, but they do happen. Will be hoping to do another East Anglia Blat in a few weeks - poss towards end of March...
or come with us on the Run to Stoneligh - you only need 4 days :D

Cheers

No can do for the Stoneligh - got a wedding to watch! No not really but its my B'day and have my kids that weekend.

I normally go to France with the caravan on the back of the tintop, and wouldn't like to chance France on my own in the Westy, but as part of a group would be cool. Our car is not really geared up for touring (no boot, no hood, no heater, four speed box) but I'm sure that will be part of the fun.

Hi there and welcome so with a four speed box and that ratio diff do you shoot off real quick but cant keep it up for long!
Do you have a good acceleration and low top speed.
I think a drag event is in the planing stage would this suit you car?

If she can't keep up thats not my problem!

The car is 22 years old this year, originally used as a road car but been used for sprinting for the last 16 years. At 4k I'll be dong approx 65mph, but on the plus side it has a BGH c/r box and a 1.6 vx which is v.smooth.

I've put my name down for the Brands Hatch TD :D :D , not sure how/who to pay, but the good thing about a debt is that somebody will contact you  .
