So you've just joined, why not say a few words to introduce yourself - a bit about you, your car - whatever!

Hi everyone and 'howdy neighbour'.
Thanks for the greetings.
I did consider Stonleigh but it is early days for the car. We would have to be really friendly to get more than one passenger in the car with me! I hope the weather holds.

The local roads have taken their toll already. Following a few trips the offside front is now riding on the bump stop. Will have to dismantle to find out why. Nothing that can't be fixed.
The engine and running gear is early 998 mini cooper, with 3 synchro box, rubber driveshaft couplings. It has a 731 cam, nitrided crank LCB exhaust and twin SU's.
If you do not know the car the engine is fitted at the rear.
I work in an engine research facility and have massed a lot of mini parts from workmates. The next engine will be 1275 a mixture of cooper and MG metro parts, I am hoping that some of my more knowlegable colleagues will decide that for me. The 4 synchro box should be better. Money is the limiting factor (as ever ).
No complaints though as it works finally and I look forward to meeting up eventually.
Roger

Hi Roger, fancy meeting you here! Seems a bit strange saying hello to someone who lives next door on the internet. Glad you signed up, lots of helpful people if you need advice, or just want a good laugh - often at my expense  . I feel outnumbered now with two yellow perils in Bradegate Drive.

Hi Linda
It does seem odd to communicate via the internet when we could just shout over the fence. How are you after your French trip?
I do not think there is anything intimidating about my little 'noddy car'. Mind you the only one willing to travel in it with me is the dog!
Bye
Roger
