Good morning, Florin Metal Works here at last
My wfe & I built our Robin Hood 2B+ over the last 4 years, IVA middle of Feb & have now clocked-up over 2000miles,all most trouble free apart from loosing ignition electrics when overtaking an artic !! Not a brown trouser moment as too busy trying to gain hard shoulder, fault was only a blown fuse. Put in one too small, when building, for max revs current & it blew after a 1000miles.
Pictures,we hope.
No don't know how to on this site; instructions please in simple English 'cause I'm Old;regards Bob.
Advert---- We are runing our 4th annual BBQ on the week-end of 3-4-5 June @ West Tytherley (full details on RHOcar site) all welcome; owners--still building-- or just interested plus any classics. Camping, run round local area, silly games,BBQ & tribute band in evening; prices from £3(just looking) to £15(tea & coffee all day + lunch + BBQ + band) Weather guaranteed, though not sure which sort yet.

Hello Bob, normally i'd have sent you an email telling you a bit about the site and how to hopefully get the most from it - but Murphys Law my email account for the Club is temp out of service on a dead PC!

1stly welcome, you're on the edge of our patch ( as it currently stands ) and obviously those on the edges have less folks to interact with. That said a look at the Members Map ( only viewable if you are logged into the forum and not browsing as a 'guest') will show who is in your part of teh world. You're then welcome to drop them a mail and intro yourself and mention your BBQ.

You can also start a 'thread' about the Barbie in the 'Members or Group section - for that type of event either is ok)....just put plenty of detail and possibly some pics from prior years. ( to post a pic you must have uploaded them to a photo server on the internet - such as photobucket.com)...then you get the code (url) of that pic and you can post it into any topic/post that you make - by clicking the IMG button.

The whole point of the site is to allow folks to interact with other owners, to meet, to go for drives etc - so don't be shy about vociing an opinion on someone elses topic - it keeps things ticking over!

Unfortunately a Group of us are off to France the weekend of your BBQ - but perhaps some of the members that are in your area would care to get involved - i hope so!!

Welcome to the site Bob, good to see you on here, as Rob said above weve got a few way out west trips under our belts and will plan a few more, and of course your always welcome to make a short(ish) trip towards the east one Sunday to join us.

To anyone else that's not joining in on the Frence trip that weekend Ive read the previous years reports of the 'show' that Bob puts on and it really does look like a well organised and social affair, if any one is looking for something to do it would be excellent to support this.

Keep active Bob - and welcome :D

Hello Bob, welcome along. Age is immaterial, well physical age anyway. As long as your mental age is about the same as the rest of us (teenage, judging by the conversation about the girl with the boots at Detling on Sunday), then you'll fit in nicely!
