Hello Scotty,
As they've said it sounds like you'll fit right in here, this is a driving rather than a polishing club.
When I first joined, my car had a 104bhp X-flow. Sounds weedy, but the cars are light & on the road, keeping up wasn't a problem. On a track I wouldn't have seen which way the faster cars went, but that's no indication of fun. Anyway, most important is that the car's correctly registered as what it is, an MK registered as a Dutton is a short-cut to avoid hassle & cost, so what else did the seller not do for the same reason?? The wiring can be a good indication of build quality, birds nest & scotch-loks do not bode well, even if it works now, fault-finding will be a nightmare.
Main thing to decide is what style of car you want, which really means screen & creature comforts or no screen & stripped for action, if you're an ex-biker I'd guess at the latter, but get up early one Sunday & get some passenger rides & a full English breakfast, see what appeals to you, there's no "right" answer.
