New(ish) member - Car's out of storage and back in Brighton!

Postby mike_on_the_mike » Fri Aug 01, 2014 8:02 pm

Hi all!

I was on here a year or two back but with only one garage in Brighton and more than one car (now three including a classic Impreza and a Honda S2000), the Tiger had to go in to storage for a while and my old account seems to have gone AWOL.. Guess I need to be a bit more active!

I've now bitten the bullet, rented a second garage in Brighton and brought the Tiger out of storage! :D Not a great start though.. On the drive down from Croydon, it's developed a fairly serious engine problem.. Not making it to any runs until that's sorted.. I'll stick a post in the relevent forum, any assistance would be hugely welcome! Likewise, if I can help anyone in Brighton out anytime, feel free to shout.

See you all soon!

Mike P

Thanks Kenton, good to be back!

Wow Mark, you've got a good memory! Yep, that might have been the last time I saw you. The better half however has since been upgraded to one that loves the Tiger, doesn't mind the smell of oil and doesn't mind me spending hours in the garage at the weekend! ;) I'm sure she'll be with me on one or two rides.. :D

Looking forward to getting out again!

Hi Mike, welcome back to the fold.

As you say let us know about your woes, I'm not the most experienced mechanic but willing to help if I can. There's also lots of knowledge in the local area so no doubt you be back on the road soon.

Get your name down for the big meet at Amberley, whether in the kit or otherwise.

Hi Russ, good to hear from you too. Hopefully I'll be be back out very soon. I've stuck a post in the general discussion forum. I think it's valves.. I bought the car from the guy who built it so this'll be my first time rooting that deep in to the engine.. What can go wrong eh?
