Not for me.
IVA = VOSA and inspection = DVLA. Unreasonable to expect two government departments to communicate with eac other.
There were several announcements on this (probably) last year so I thought it had been organised by now.
I've been to Brighton DVLA several times and it is a top floor office near the station so you cannot take a car / trailer there - no parking for a start. Plus it is closing soon anyway..

Re: Hello from Richard in Pulborough.
Yes maybe that should be true, why duplicate things!
Like they say; IVA & MOT for taxing it? Surely 'OR'.
Cannot see why it would need an MOT after going through the mincer with IVA?
Have to get back to work from Monday so project virtually on 'hold'.
Not much more to do though. Would like to plan a Test day somewhere like an aerodrome where I can set up things like speedo v satnav; steering alignment; whatever else falls off or rattles! lol
Probably be Feb 2013+ though.

Re: Hello from Richard in Pulborough.
I was also asked to provide my MoT certificate at the DVLA office.
Thankfully I had had a MoT prior to IVA.
I wouldn't worry about steering alignment for the IVA test. It is not really driven any distance at the test. Just a test of the self centring of the steering and then a couple of emergency stops (slides) to check the fronts lock before the rears.
I guess if you are driving to/from the test centre it might be good to have the steering in general alignment.
I think you need an MoT for the DLVA as the process is effectively issuing you with a registration and tax disc. So, because you are being issued with a tax disc you will also need a valid insurance certificate (not cover note, etc.) on the chassis number. This was a nightmare for me as Footman James would not issue this until I had a reg and I could not be issued a reg until I had insurance. Got there in the end, after phoning Footman James from the DVLA desk to get FJ to email to the DVLA office a PDF certificate. They did not make it easy, for understandable reasons, but it was a very frustrating process.
I found this part more stressful than the IVA.
