Hi from Pulborough. Robin Hood owner

Postby Dneill62 » Mon May 28, 2018 9:47 am

Hi there. I am interested to hear if there are any others around here? I seem to live in a black hole of kit car owners. The Robin Hood club hardly exists South of London.
Mine is an aging S7 monocoque which is recovering from some abuse and lack of love from the previous owner. Its a long term project but ten times better than when I picked it up a few years ago. Its no racer but takes us to a few nice pub lunches!

Hi, You're pretty much central to the area covered by SKCC. I'm in Horsham, so only up the road from you. The forum is a touch quiet at the moment as one group is just back from a roadtrip and another group is on one! Hope to see you on a run soon. Clean looking car :D

Excellent! There is local life. I see an occasional run out happens from Bucks Barn. I'll look out for the next one. May see you there.
The car is still a bit rough round the edges but it would be no fun without a list of tasks.

Hello David and welcome to the club. You are in decent area for members around you. Most of us own 5 yard cars, in that they look ok from 5 yards away but a tad “used” up close. That’s because they are USED. So be proud you’re among friends :D

Once again welcome.

Thanks for the encouraging words.. but make it 10 yards at night for mine!
Bromley may be a little outside my comfort zone at present. Must fix the oil leak. But looking forward to meeting others soon.

I'm in Barns Green and a friend with numerous cars including a Dax Rush is in Billingshurst, There is another Dax Rush in Barns Green but it is not yet on the road. There's a Westfield a few doors up too.

Unfortunately I'm having brake binding issues at the moment as well as cooling issues so trying to sort those out amongst many other jobs around the house to do - (hoping next year to spend time relaxing - some hope).

There is (possibly was) a Robin Hood owner behind the hairdressers just North of Harwoods.

There're some of us about!

I'm also restoring a TR6 from ground up once I finish stripping it.
Richard.
Dax Rush 5.0l TVR V8, EFI with Megasquirt ECU and wasted spark, Racelogic Traction Control, Quaife LSD. Now with big brother 1973 TR6 being totally body-off restored.

Thanks for saying hi. I'll look out for that Robin Hood. I'm sure I see one passing the area sometimes but I'm not expert enough to tell them apart from other makes at speed. Jealous of the TR6. Very nice.
