Hello everyone,
I live in Yateley, Hampshire with the wife and our fifteen-year-old daughter.
I joined the SKCC a few weeks ago, but my Tiger Cat was off the road in bits in the garage, I thought I would sort the issues before saying hello. The Tiger is now back together and back on the road
I have owned this yellow Tiger Cat, which is running a 2.0 pinto with twin Weber 45’s for just over a year now. This is the second Tiger Cat I have owned. My first one was a Super Cat I built from scratch, back in 2006.
This time I decided to buy one already built and ready to use. However, it never worked out that way, I ended up purchasing one with a few issues, the biggest one was a few oil leaks and a damaged sump.
Since purchasing the Tiger, I have taken the engine out replacing nearly all the gaskets and seals, replaced the distributor and of course the sump. I actually forgot how enjoyable it was to work on the Tiger.
I think the next thing to be looked at are the carbs, I think they are running rich and would benefit from a tune. If anyone knows someone locally please get in touch.
Many thanks
Tony
