ERA30 in West Sussex

Postby NickRushby » Sun Feb 06, 2011 9:46 pm

And another new member - Burgess Hill. I sold my Caterham Se7en about 15 months ago to buy the prototype ERA30 from Tiger Racing. Saw it and fell in love!

No up to date pictures as yet. I'm waiting until the current round of work is finished and it's a reasonable day for photography. If you want to see how it looked a year ago then go to http://www.tigerracing.com/era-30.php and look at L30ERA. There's been a lot to do to make it driveable including new seats (Tillett B4s) and a new exhaust system from Simpson Race Exhausts to get the noise level down from 105dB to 92dB (so that I can use it on the track!). It's road legal and the aim is for track days and some racing. I'll be getting out more in a month or two!

Welcome - and hurrah! another car with full bodywork, I looked at the Tiger website "ERA30 Fitted with the 1800cc Ford Zetec 0-60mph = approx 4.82secs 50-70mph = approx 1.98secs 50-100mph = approx 6.78secs" how many decimal places do they measure to when they're being accurate?? :D

I'll take their word for it. It just seems very fast - certainly faster than me!

Oh now I'm really jealous  That is one of my very favourite cars. I seriously looked into the ERA last year, but I couldn't justify the price to Mrs C :(
