Building GBS Zero (Race)

Postby Z2000 » Thu Jun 27, 2013 5:30 pm

Hi,

I'm Henry, live/work in Derby and building a GBS Zero in Melton Mowbray.

Heard good things about this club and look forward to being able to join in on some trackdays, tours and just general drives around some of the best roads in the UK.

Anyone who has anything which may be of use to a new builder, feel free to let me know as so far I have only just stared and any help, advice or components for sale would be most welcome.

Thanks!

Welcome Henry :)

There are some people on here who are very knowledgable about Zeros :)
Unfortunately, I'm not one of them, although I did do up Tony's GBS propshaft bolts

Welcome.

I'm a Derby lad. Sometimes up there visiting the parental unit. Some good roads up there and not too busy.

Welcome Henry, i am also based not far from Derby (Shepshed).

I also have a Zero. I didn't build it, but it feels like a have since all the things i have changed since owning.

Engine, twice plus another 20 times in and out (hokey kokey would have been easier)
Brakes
Gearbox
Wheels
Tyres
Sump
Radiator, twice
Seats
Dash
Ride Height
Suspension setup, twice

Think that's most of the rework, so pretty much built in reverse (IVA'd and then built properly) :?
