Afternoon all

Postby AdamR » Wed Dec 03, 2014 3:05 pm

Hello everyone,

Just signed up to the forum this morning so thought I would introduce myself.

I'm a Westfield owner from 'oop Norf' (near Preston, to be exact) so while I'm technically infiltrating the ranks I hope this won't cause a problem

I'm onto my second kit car now and the whole tinkerer-driver thing is great fun, a good escape from the keyboard at the end of the working day!

Here's a vid from a trip to Oulton Park to break up the wall of text...

Hopefully I'll be able to catch up with some of you on one of the roadtrips, always wanted to have a blast around Scotland so that seems an ideal opportunity...

Cheers!
Adam

Hi Adam and welcome.

Nice looking Westy you've got there and cool video too. Were you actually intercom'd up with the instructor there? If not I can't imagine that all the finger wagging was actually that useful? Or was it?

@Steve....my 1st instruction at Brands was done like that, and with nothing agreed before we headed out.....i def found it more than 'ok' by way of communicating. The thing that always strikes me with instruction from the pass seat is that a/ those guys must have big balls to get in a car that might/not be screwed together properly - with 'someone' b/ that our cars must be capable of so much more - as logically they can't know how good the turn in is /brakes are etc

Welcome to SKCC :)
Your car does go well!

Or possibly the other way around. I know a chap who is a very good driver, who crashed his Lotus Elan at Goodwood after the instructor was adamant that he could carry more speed into a corner :(

Welcome Adam, nice looking and sounding car you have. I did like the tuition you had I am thinking of doing that as well, did it make a difference to the way you drove then, and has it made a difference when you drive on the road???
It would be nice to get some specs of your car.
Any way hope to catch up some time.
