Hi all.

So you've just joined, why not say a few words to introduce yourself - a bit about you, your car - whatever!

Hi all.

Postby barpilot » Mon Feb 02, 2015 11:38 pm

I'm Sam and originally from Ashford, Kent. Lived in Southampton a few years but no longer there either, still claiming it as my tenuous link to SKCC though.

I got the car bug early on experiencing Reliant Scimitars and various stuff while growing up. Winding forward a fair few years I rebuilt a Mk2 Golf GTi saving it from the scrapper. Still have that :)

Then it happened, I wanted to build something in kit form... Eventually I settled on an Ultima GTR after a factory day and put a deposit down on a chassis.

I'm now over a year into the build and its starting to look like a car of sorts. Anyway, hope to get down 'sarf to some meets when the GTR gets finished or if any other north biased members travel down, co-pilot.

Thanks for reading chaps, look forward to browsing some build threads.
Sam.

Welcome Sam, how far north is "north"? There's a few members in the midlands & we'll be heading to Scotland in the late spring & will be stopping for coffees / lunch etc at various places so may be able to meet up. But we need photos man, PHOTOS! :D

I'm liking the cake idea, might ask for that for mine this year.

I'm near Newark just off the A1, what is your route plan for that trip?

I'll get some forum friendly pics uploaded to Photobucket shortly and create a build thread when I'm past post approval stage.

Thanks for the welcome!

Hey Sam, welcome. Looking forward to seeing the car pics and the car in due course. Quite a large SKCC contingent in Peterborough so neighbours really.

One word of advice 're the co-pilot seat thing, if someone called Paul, sometimes goes by the alias zxr400, offers you a seat..... You may want to think twice about it..... Just sayin ;)

Once again welcome.

Welcome to SKCC Sam :)

Your car looks great! Almost a shame to cover it with the body work.
