Just to say hi and hopefully pry on your wisdom as I'm a complete kit car novice. I've bought a ready built Tiger Super 6. 1700 cross flow engine and generally a nice example. Needs a little tidy but does look stunning.
I'll get some pics when I get a chance.
First thing I need some advice on is noise. The exhaust is ear splitting loud!! How hard is it to repack the silencer? Also do the windscreens come in different sizes as the frame on mine is right on my eye line!!
Look forward to coming to a few meets. I'm based near to Westerham

Re: New Tiger Super Six Owner
Hi Steve,
1stly - welcome. I think you'll find that a good few runs use Edenbridge area as a starting point for weekend Brekkie run outs, so hopefully we'll see you out and about. The format for these runs varies - with one constant- they're arranged by ANY member, and folks are free to join in. Sometimes that means a bit of a travel to a start or end point ...
as for re-packing the silencer - depends what type it is and whether it's designed to be opened/repacked..if so, a doddle....if not 2 choices; cut and shut it so that it can be recharged iin the future or buy one that can!
plenty of Tiger owners on here with a wealth of experience.
FWIW - i'm not a million miles away ( 7oaks )....
cheers
Mark

Thanks for the welcome. I'm actually in edenbridge. Are there any specialists etc around the area??
My biggest issue at the moment is the windscreen the frame is right in my eyeline. Any options for this??

Dare I say it, replace it with an aero screen. My 6 has a small aero (deflector more than aero) screen and initially I was going to replace it with a full screen, but now I think I'll leave it. No such problems with view and actually it's not that offensive to drive...

How is the seat mounted? if it's on runners can it be bolted to the floor in the right place for you? Can you reduce the stuffing? It's often easier to lower your eye-line than raise the screen.

Stevie, if you need a specialist, the guys at Snodhurst in Medway are avid kit car nuts, running Tigers and working on all sorts. Dick and Jay, both are very active members on here and go the extra mile for the SKCC, Loads of personal recommendations from skcc members, myself included.
