It’s that time again and we are racing on Saturday at Lydden hill the actual racing starts at 3pm but we will be there from about 1pm. Between us we have a couple of tickets spare if anyone wants to come along. We have to let them know names in the morning for anyone that’s using our tickets. If not it’s £5 on the gate

Great to catch up with Matt, Kev and Mike. A few shots from the afternoons racing.

It was a good day yesterday at Lydden and good to catch up with Mike.
Race 1, The track was a bit wet and the tyres/wheel size I was trying out didn't really work so I was getting lots of wheelspin and not very much grip. I'm not sure where I finished in the end but it was at the back somewhere . Video from the first race https://youtu.be/f1ZlBfFCPFc

Race 2, I had changed back to my normal tyres which was better but got a bit boxed in behind some slower cars at the start which held me up but done ok in the end finishing 8th.

Final, I was going quite well and was stuck to the boot of the usual green car no 66 until the race got stopped due to a car being on fire. They relined us up to have a couple of cars not wanting to start where they had been turned off by the drivers ( kev being one of them ) The race eventually restarted with 3 laps left and I finished 6th.

Consolation Race, It was going ok not really getting anywhere but then the faster cars took each other out meaning I finished 4th so it worked out in the end. https://youtu.be/28iSCZkdvEs

At the end of the day I enjoyed it and brought the car home in one piece. I think it needs stronger front springs and would benefit from some new tyres as the cheap secondhand ones we got are pretty much finished now.
