Blyton Park CKC Track Day

What a fun day that was. Got a good few runs in. Started to press on and suddenly turned left and ended up pointing backwards up the circuit. Any guesses on the culprit?

Steve was a real help in getting the car back on the trailer and then getting the wheel off. So thanks for your help.

However, have just got to the overnight stop over and the car has shifted on the trailer and is hanging on by a thread. So I need to have a think on how to deal with that in the morning. Any bright ideas?

Trying to add pics as better clue to the problem there.

Sorry to see that Chris
Have you not got a jack with you, you could jack up and put some blocks or logs to support that side than strap it down solid

That must have been quite scary! Glad you're ok.

I'd guess the top wishbone is no longer attached to the upright. Rose joint snapped?

Jesus, I hope it’s not a wishbone snapping, the way we swing the rears out :o

That’s not good Chris, hope you got it back home ok - what’s the cause then as hoping you’ll be back on the road soon!

The rose joint had sheared where it meets the top wish bone, and easy fix if Chris can get the old threaded piece out which should be possible as the lock nut is still on it, hopefully won't have to take the wishbone out as that is a pain. Good luck Chris.

For me it was a great day though, about 100 trouble free laps :D

I've ordered rose joints for my Westfield from McGill Motorsport - http://www.mcgillmotorsport.com/male-thread-rod-ends-unf-xm-racing-series-ultra-high-performance-chromoly-kevlar/

I ordered:
7/16" x 1/2" Right Hand Male (XMR7-8) Ultra High Performance Rod End
Only £7 each or so.
