blimey, tight old timeline to get all in order for end of March......or have you set a later date as more likely?

Re: Why I've been quiet
@phil - and a trailer! I do have a need, for some stuff I'm doing currently and the van was a bargain.....
@Mark, good spot, corrected the V, as for the timescale, it will be tight without a shadow of a doubt. A lot depends on when the engine builder gives me the nod and how long he takes to turn it around and when I get the shell back from the cage man, it then needs paint inside and the cage itself. I have 90% of the bits either in storage or on order.
The deadline is self inflicted so I can get testing and get some racing done (all things being equal) in 2020
What can possibly delay me

Very envious of the van Neil
A mate of mine has put his trailer down as a mobile laboratory and tows it with a pickup as he need to do demonstrations at race circuits

Good progress Neil
You probably could fit the Race car and the kit car in the back of that van.

Re: Why I've been quiet
With the festive season now well out of the way I thought a update was due on build progress for the Car.
As I reported before xmas the car had gone off for the cage to be fitted. Progress is good and I'm off for the seat positioning this weekend. So I've now started to dig items out of storage in preparation for the next phase of work.
The trailing arms have now gone away for modification and powder coating, as has the wishbones and remaining original items.
Engine went away yesterday for its "serious" upgrade rebuild so I won't see that again until the end of Feb.
I finally got measured and ordered my racesuit and normex underwear. The simple reason I've gone of made to measure is because any company saleman who has a standard suit that fits me would get sacked! Joking aside I have been amazed by HRX the company that makes the race gear. I can't vouch for the actually suits yet (4 to 6 weeks) but there service and support have been brilliant.
So I will confirm a couple of things over the weekend and all things equal the car should be back with me in about another week. First job back is to get the inside painted.
Then there are modifications to the engine bay and then start the assembly job.
Most items are now bought and in storage. Still a couple of things to get but we are ABOUT on schedule

ah...Jira, Agile methodology with a bit of Scrum?
SAP for logistics and Supply Chain?
or back of a cig packet?
sounds like it's going to be a 'full on march in March' to bolt it all together....

Coming along Neil, excellent choice of seat. Looks like March will be a tad busy!
