Only Honda would fit engines running in opposite directions to similar shells.
I think datsun point is much more appropriate

Re: Why I've been quiet
The K engine runs in the direction of most engines unlike the Honda b that was the reverse to the norm . What Neil is saying is the 1.6 has the engine on the nearside the 2.0 the engine is on the offside. Nothing is easy when its a Honda but i like a challenge.
Neil quiet I wish.
Neil quiet I wish.

Interesting Neil. Everyone's got an itch, but only some will take the plunge and give it a bloody good scratch. Good luck Neil and keep us in the loop. I enjoy these build progress reports.

Re: Why I've been quiet
Very brief update. No photos so didn't happen,
Managed to get the engine and box separated from the subframe and all the bushes out of the wishbones, trailing arms and mounts. Started sending bits away for powder coating (front subframe first) followed by the above next week.
Today I split the engine and gearbox, box is off for a refresh and final drive change and plate LSD fitted.
Engine will also be going off for a crank up rebuild and upgrade (more of that later).
Dick and I have spend most of last week in a roup WhatsApp chat with the company building my custom wiring loom so that's been exciting.
Expect that to arrive week after next.
Arriving next week is my suspension, upgraded anti-rollbar kit, ABS delete kit, arms, bushes, ...... and so on.
Still a lot to buy but the next major job is to strip the 2nd car. This is the car I will be building up as my race car. All together better shell. No.1 shell will be going in the bin and everything useable is now off it and stored. The rest binned.
15 weeks to the start of testing. So much to do and the clock is ticking. Trying to do as much of it myself to manage costs but as I'm right in the middle of a full on contract at the moment it's not allowing me much time on it but I'm loving every minute of it.
Progress is being made. Can someone Stop The Clock to let me catch up please.

Excellent Neil, you certainly have made a good start, it is good to have a dead line as this give you a target to aim for. Anyway you cant be that busy if you have time to do a report !!
