Re: Why I've been quiet

Right last update before Christmas. The car finally went off for its cage today after a big effort to get the dash and remaining sound deadening out of the car. Note, the sound deadening weighed 5kgs when bagged up! Dan the apprentice did a great job and only used 3 CO² extinguishers to get the job done.

So let's take stock, rolling shell now with the cage builder, should get it back around the 3rd week in Jan.

The race engine is on a pallet ready to go to the engine builder early Jan. That should come back late Feb
So that gives us a month or so to build up the car before the engine comes back.

Most of the parts are either in storage or on order.

While I'm waiting for the cage to come back I won't be idle. I bought a van for work and will be sorting that for duel use. First job will be to get the old livery off it and sort some little things out.

Merry Christmas everyone see you next year

Here is a few photos. So it did happen.

I see you've left the speakers in; 5kg saved in sound deadening but what we can't see is the MASSIVE base bin you've got in the boot!!!!

Have a good Christmas and hopefully Santa will bring you some toys for the new motor.

Chris

Chris we have a piece of string out the back of the speaker that runs back to the pit where its attached to a plastic cup. The pit boss Dick "Harry Hogg" Primett shouts into the cup and tells us when to come in. Genius and the only affordable bit of the build

Excellent news Neil, so all going to plan so far. That car will be back sooner than you think, time fly's but I'm pretty sure there still plenty to do with out the car being there.

So a New Year and some progress over the festive period.

The car is now with the cage builder and progress is moving forward.

The van has been de-stickered (what a job that was) although still needs a machine polish before it goes off for wrapping.

Finally gearbox has been overhauled and the MFactory plated LSD and 5.1 FD fitted.
