Coronavirus run outs

Postby danno » Wed Mar 18, 2020 6:58 am

Seeing as we are all about to be told we can't do anything sociable by the government, and in fact this has already begun, I wonder if we should be booking up some more members run outs?

I'm getting my car out of storage at the end of March, so will be at a lose end. All my booked trips and trackdays are likely to be cancelled this summer...

Can we still meet up (if we keep our distance)?

I’m sure we can fit a few in before there’s a petrol shortage and we are on lock down completely :D

Would have thought track days should be all right - not exactly a crowd scene ;)

But I guess that would rely on some common sense prevailing, which seems unlikely...

I was thinking about this and the chance of catching it outside us extremely low. Add in the fact that we're all separate in our cars and I don't see a problem.

As long as fuel is available, we can just stop shaking hands and go for a run. Only problem is breakfast, but as we usually sit outside, that seems pretty low risk too :)

That's not what their website says... https://www.msvtrackdays.com/car/news/2020/msv-trackdays-how-we-are-responding-to-coronavirus-covid-19/
Maybe it was just that specific event?

I'm up for meeting up for a blat out on quiet roads! I'm due to be travelling to Norwich to collect my 'busa on Saturday so would be looking to get out and about while I still can.

Yup, as I said, no common sense. :(

Seems so obvious to me - if you're in a high-risk group or need to be in contact with a high-risk group, self-isolate. Everyone else, carry on as normal so the whole damn world doesn't come to a stop.
