Well, what can I say. Went up to Llandow in welsh Wales for the CKC/Omex track day and what a great little circuit. Handling circuit rather than power so evened the playing field so to speak.
Got lots of laps in and really started to press on towards the end of the day. Loved the chicane on the back straight which allowed for late braking and showed quite how well set up my car is as I chucked the old girl in to it.
The car ran faultlessly despite the heat which I know caused a few people some trouble. As far as I know there were only 2 retirements and both at the opposite end of the pits, chap in a mini didn’t last past the sighting laps and another chap had his engine let go.
The welcome from the chief Marshall was as [very] warm as the weather and a really friendly bunch of folk just added to what was a great day.
Great mix of cars, lots of 7esque variants plus some more unusual metal (or plastic) that provided some interest and some nattering between the driving.
I’m definitely going back as soon as I can. So very enjoyable.

Sounds like a good day out. I have not been to that circuit but maybe I should make the effort I like the pictures of hot cars, sun and more sun!

Weather of course can be a bit varied out there, but looks like you got really lucky.

Just a tad David. It was scorching.
I think we should arrange a club(s) day over there. It was such a fun track.

Sounds like a plan. I think we would get some takers from the kit car clubs in the West

I've tried to get a group together before but it is always too close to Euro trip. Let's try again next year.

There’s a general track day on 7th July I think. And a few more later in the year. I’ve got the dates somewhere. Can always dig them out if people are interested.

7 July I am at Le Mans Classic but would look at a date later in the year if I am about.

Looks like you had a great day and sounds like a fun circuit for our little cars. Loads of 7s and kits about in those pics.
I'd be interested in a trip there.
