Trip to lands end

Postby andyf » Tue Mar 29, 2016 6:57 pm

We're down in Cornwall for Easter so we decided to go for a blat down to lands end and back up to hayle on the coast road. The coast road os tight and twisty with lots of gradient changes. Shame it was raining, it would be excellent in the dry.

.....started in Cornwall.....nope, that doesnt count as a Legend run.....you have to leave from Sussex/Surrey/Kent and do that in a day to get the T-Shirt....

it was, 4 of us did it about 5 years back.....660 miles or so....left at 03.30, home at 19.00, photos at Lands end, brekkie in the cafe and a minor matter of a breakdown for me that meant i played catch up for half the way there. Bloody great day out.....

I think Neil said he did over 700 in the day :o

Makes the 3 day 1400 mile john O'Groats for lunch trip I joined him on seem sensible

Still wish I'd been man enough to join you for the Lands End one.

By the way, I agree that coast road is great even when busy in August as the views are fantastic.
The B3311 from St Ives to Penzance is a nice road too :)
