boy did i struggle yesterday, and then of course today after the event i remembered a tip that i'd hear a while back - if the light ir poor and the sky is flat - concentrate on close ups, 'lower' shots.

anyway, a few of my attempts will follow.

Great contrast as always Mark. Butchers good, too much reflection on the shop window with mine and Liam’s ones. Liking the first one with the signal in the shot.

Since we are on the theme of photography, I was speaking to my Sis (who is a pro photographer) about a Maternity shoot she did to create a 'milk' dress.

Apparently it took 4 hours photoshopping to put the image together. Interesting effect.

I know this is the latest trend (maternity photos) but it’s not a genre that works for me. That’s not to detract from the skill level demonstrated by your Sis Jeff but take a look at the final photo. It’s not flattering!

Maternity photos (bump photos) have been going for a long time. If your niche is newborn photography like Karen's then Maternity is an obvious thing to do. It isn't really designed to appeal to you directly.

Back on topic.. Similar loco shot to Mark’s, with the section token being handed over. Also a quirky little barbers shop in Cranbrook.

Some shots from Liam, again, there is no real theme or brief with this. It is just a bit of fun, so you may “get” some of the shots and not others...
