Had a pleasnt shock today. Decided that it was about time i did a bit of hunting around as been with the same insurance Company for Contents/Buildings for the last umpteen years. Have just saved myself £600 - yep you read that right SAVED £600 ( actually a tad more ).
If you're interested PM me and i'll forward the details.
As a taster: contents £80k, no specified items needed unless over £2k, no stringent clauses on alarms, minimal excess ( £100 ) and buildings - unlimited rebuilding cost - all for £450.

Frankly Ben mine was due for renewal until Nov, but as they were obliged to refund on a pro-rata basis it was a no brainer to change immediately.
