Anyone in the crawley area got a wood lathe ?

Postby steve m » Sat Jul 23, 2011 9:24 am

I would like to put the points back on our wind breaker poles as they are in a right mess !
and sticing them on a wood lathe was my idea,

That is assuming you can feed the wood thru the chuck as in a normal metal working lathe
other wise any one got any other idea's ?

regards

steve

Put metal ferrules on damaged ends with enough left empty to beat flat for chisel point or cut to point & stick a drop of weld on the end to stop speading; fix to pole with a screw or nail through the side.
