PLEASE HELP ME FIND MY WESTIE
Westfield SEI wide
Help me find my old Westfield that I completed the built in 1994 and had to regrettably sell just over a year later due to financial reasons. I would love to find her again with a view to buying back for my 50th birthday mid life crisis present!
DVLA say it has not been taxed since 2005, I have tried writing to them but they will not release the owners details to me.
Registration Number Q813 KKE
Green with tan leather interior and green piping, I think it may now have a yellow nose cone following an incident with a road sweeper.
Ford 2ltr pinto stage 2 tuned, twin 40 webbers with K&N air filters.
I know this is a real needle in a haystack but someone knows where she is. Help!

Good luck
I built a green Sei Wide with 1700 crossflow in 1990 (Q197CMV) and sold it in 1994. Unfortunately, they didn't tax it less than 6 months later, so I assume tge new owners wrote it off

Well spotted Tony, maybe this isn't the best place for that story
The car does look very like the one I built though, it makes me realise how different Westfields look now.

I'd like to offer encouragement but 13 years off the road? Even if you find it, it will need so much work...sorry.
Much better IMO to build/buy another one.

Thanks for all the works of encouragement! Lol
I know it’s a long shot and I think I will resort to buying another westie, however currently my finances won’t stretch to a new build so hence find my old one seems a more cost effective option. Maybe I am being a little blind to the potential work needed to restore to full working order.
Cannot really afford spending more than 5k so will I get a sensible Westie for this??

nope, i don't think that you'll find a reasonable westie for that money....kit car prices have gone up a bit over the past 2-3 years...
i'd guess that you could get an old cvh westie for a bit more than that 6k/6.5k? but whether it would be a nice one is another matter....
are you set on a westie? cos even 5k for other cars such as a tiger is doable but not with massive choice, that said, depends what you want engine wise etc etc
