Anyone after a Crossflow?

Hi All,

I've been doing a Crossflow->Zetec swap in my Fury for the last few years (but feels like forever). I had every intention to sell my Crossflow when it first came out, I even had a friend of a friend who was super keen to buy it but disappeared off the face of the earth when it came to paying me! Consequently said crossflow got put in a corner of the garage and forgotten about until now.

Now some details about the engine. I don't have a huge amount of info, all I have is what I can see and what was passed onto me by the previous owner when I bought the Fury:

1600cc 711M (711M6015BA) (I think the MOTs say 1660cc)
Engine - from lotus seven*
Cam - Kent A2
Pistons - twin cam cut outs
Head - Early mexico head, big valves & rocker pillars (inlet 41.5mm, exhaust 34.5mm)
Clutch - 7.5" competition clutch (AP/Borg&Beck)
Flywheel - lightened and balanced
Carbs - twin dellorto DHLA 40's

*I have no evidence to say that it is from a lotus seven but nor do I have anything to say that it's not. It's just what was written in the build docs/diary I received from the previous owner.

I don't know the real mileage but I do know that it's done 15762miles since it was put in my Fury in 1995. (I've MOT certificates going back for the duration)

I also have the 4-speed gearbox it was running with. It's a lightweight type-2 box. The box appears to have a leak, I never did find out if it was the seal in the tail section or in the front of the box.

The engine was running with a lumenition electronic ingnition which I also still have, the mechanical fuel pump was removed and blocked off, the sump is shortened.

The engine has sat in a dry garage since removing but hasn't run for a long while and I'm sure it probably has a bit more surface rust by now. It was running when removed from the Fury though.

I've put a bunch of pictures up on dropbox here.

I should probably put on here how much I'm asking but I really have no idea so even if you've no interest but have an idea of what it's worth please let me know!

Anyone interested?

Cheers,
Neil

What are you lot like..

I've a got a few things I'm willing to px, and I'll even collect it all, so no postage costs..

set of 12 HSS drill bits ( just need sharpening)
Used cutting discs 50mm diameter.
200 cable ties used once, removed carefully with side cutters.
2 sweat bands for welding helmet not many hours use.

The deal clincher..

Brand new 3 pin plug for a lathe (just needs a lathe)

No rush let me know once you've had a good think and a ponder..decisions, decisions,..you know where I am. :D

The offer of the sweat bands was almost enough to persuade me...
