Postby David T » Wed Nov 26, 2014 12:27 pm

This is a very good deal for somebody looking for a decent car charger: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00NIV19NU

Its normally £40+ just for the charger.

You're welcome. Had my Ctek charger a few years now now. Nice bit of kit. This one looks improved again and the 'free' accessories.

I have the large one now but wanted one to fit to the car so im not under it trying to connect the leads to the battery, this new one is spot on and will be under the dash so i can just plug it in . Perfect in our cars would think others should take a look as prevention is better than cure. On the plus side it was at a very good price

I've got one with an extension wired into the passenger footwell, so it's easy to plug in as soon as the car's in the garage. I Also put a connector on a solar charger which I plug in on road trips to keep the odyssey battery topped up.

The battery's now 6 years old & seems OK

I think you meant to say "I Also put a connector on a wind turbine and hydroelectric turbine which I plug in on UK road trips to keep the odyssey battery topped up."

I also run a solar panel, to keep the battery topped up while the car is unattended in the garage, as a few years ago I had a garage fire caused by a ................. battery charger

Now I do NOT leave anything on in the garage when there's no one about
Thats was probably spelt wrong, or had some grammer, that the "grammer police have to have a moan at

They are good, I went for the adaptor to plug into cigar lighter sockets as I have those wired directly to the battery.

no!!

the panel is on the garage roof, wire into the house, and then down into the garage, I had to add about 3m of wire,
