soooooo after planning this for about 9 mths the day is finally here - we're off. So need a break, works been manic of late, finished my calls late last night interspersed with repacking the car after Rob had called to tell me about the petrol problem in France.
Hastily ditched the bigger travel/clothes bag and filled up 2x 1 gall cans, picked the 1st up after filling it to find that it had a small leak - doh! got another filled and stowed them in the car before making a final work call around 21.30.....then...feeling a bit bad that i'd managed to quickly redo an itn to take me and whoever was following into Belgium i thought i'd send it out to everyone. Had to hand crank the old pc that holds the email ID's for everyone....only to find....no frigging internet connection. Tried in vain to sort it and gave up around in the end. After pissing Sue off as hadnt spent anytime with her or AJ on what was 'the last night'....

woke up at silly oclock, checked/rechecked the weather reports....and hastily packed another pair of jeans and a heavier duty waterproof coat. Yep, although we've managed in the past to 'get lucky' it seems our good fortune may well have run out; Storms forecast for Friday/Sat in the Black Forest - hopefully they'll just pass by, but Sunday coming up from Reims looks - err wet! I figure if i pack the heavy duty stuff it'll turn out to be scorchio instead!

right, last gulp of two of the black stuff....( Jay/Dick and whoever else, sorry i didnt reply to your texts yesterday - now you know why!)

Hope everyone has a fantastic and safe time. Paul is stuck at the QE2, been there nearly an hour :( Accident, so he's just found out. He was going to meet up with Lee and Pete, but he's rerouted straight for the tunnel - when he starts moving. Left a message via FB for Lee, neither of us could get him via phone, so hope he sees this. If things clear soon, he should still make it in time. Fingers crossed.

Hi all. Just spotted Sparkyj83 on my way to work this morning. Made me feel very jealous and more determined to get the car out of hibernation and start using it.
Hope you all have a safe journey and kind weather. Hope to get out and meet up with you all soon.

Well hi we have done day 1 and now day 2, sitting having a beer hornberg.

Fantastic roads weather dry and not too many fuel or car issues.
