Real shame we lost Chris this morning.
Today was just over 300 miles of open countryside. No traffic. Bakery for breakfast and lunch. Arrived at hotel by 4pm. Perfect.

Gutted to be missing out just as it’s getting good but at least I’ve made it home without the help of a transporter. Will be taking the engine out this weekend...

Really sorry to hear this
I had clutch failure at the start of the first Scottish run, and gutted doesn't cover it. At least you didn't have to chat for twelve hours to AA drivers.
Fixing the car proved the best therapy for me, kept my mind off what I was missing.

Col after col. No traffic either.
Stopped for a drink here, 250 miles before 12 just shows how empty the roads are. Mega tour lives up to its name!
