Hi, I would have been up for it but the car is crying out for a bit of tlc and I need to replace the front ball joints. It fine for little local trips but I’d be scared a fair way from home and on faster roads.
Have fun and will hopefully make the next one!

Re: Newlands corner to Brighton Sunday 12 , 80 miles of smiles
Nice early start as the alarm sprung into life at 4.45, Eleanor was mainly ready so once I started her up and pushed out of the garage and moved every thing around I set off for newlands about 5.30 with the snood and leather gloves and a thermos mug full of tea, topped up with fuel just before the M23 and Tom Tom said 110 miles till destination, so I might just make it.
Things were pretty quiet on M25 but as I had not been to the dog walking site ( )for a while I ended up coming in from a different route, arriving in the dark it was not long before Tony H arrived and as we chatted Graham and the others arrived and we set off about 7 as it started to get light.
After about 5 gears changes I decided to let the rest go as Eleanor still needs some work in suspension and a few bumps and potholes woke me up already.
The 80 miles come and went with a couple of stops for pics before I tip toed into the cafe parking lot to find the others joined by Duncan and Neil and family as waiting their breckie.
Had a good natter with Graham inside the cafe as well as others outside as I got everything ready and after a much needed 22.2 litres added to my 22.5 litre tank I decide to don the crash hat for the first time on a public road I can remember in a long time as the wind chill even with the snood on was starting to effect my jaw.
Got to say was a great shout as the fine rain was running off the visor nicely and the ear plug in my ear was helping me hear the Tom Tom a lot better.
Bit of luck in the ignition switch waited until I was about to get back in it back home to drive it in the garage before it gave up the ghost so not too much grief getting it back in the garage.

Sounds like you enjoyed the run Rich, still a bit too fresh for me though I'm afraid.
