Day 3, So after the now early morning prep of the cars including drying off of the overnight rain and some slight alterations by Tony to a cars water system pipe work to hopefully overcome small overheating issues, we once again eat well at breakfast, settled up where required and set sat nav to day 3 itn route heading north as we left Selkirk for now, I had donned hoodie hoping to hold off the drizzle that did plagued us on and off during the day, but no roofs were used by any of the kits cars. We were able to follow the route as listed apart from some of us stopping at different tea cake shop that we also used as great photo op, miles and fuel stops came and went as we switched driving groups hear and there that happens on theses trips for various reasons, including a collective stop a few miles after the Forth bridge and also buzzing past the entrance to knockhalt to use the facilities in Tesco.
Managed to spot a few classic cars either being used or taking part in similar trips and tours.
After a later than expected arrival at our base this evening made very welcome and enjoyed chewing over todays and previous adventures over a drink or two and some grub.
Once again lost a couple of pics due to poor signal.

Good write up Richard. Best to get rain out of the way during the night.

I have a couple of webbing straps that go between the screen and roll bar to support the showercap. If it is going to rain a lot, I put the half hood up and cap on top, then it really does stay dry.

Shame Robert ran out of brake pad, it shows the value of a little pre-trip maintenance.

Scotland day4, wow day 4 already (out of 10 hopefully ), so many pics and videos from today I am not sure FB or Inverness has enough bytes to handle them so goner have to restrict myself.
One of the cars needs a bit of TLC at a very local garage tomorrow ( about 300 metres, what’s the odds of that ) so after more than a few giggles at breakfast and the garage was arranged we set off later than usual with still 6 people in the 5 cars after selecting the shorter of the two Applecross routes plotted by Tony, the others had already done Applecross previously and was obviously so good it was a must again, certainly did not disappoint as the pics near the summit shows and as a bonus for the rest of the group the best views that have had yet due to the higher cloud base that previous.
Couple of fuel stops came and went as did road surface both good and bad, plenty of passing places and reasonably co operative on coming tragic,
Little piece of cake and tea/coffee on the way back and a chance to stretch legs and get even more pics.
Early finish than previous as hope to get into Inverness for some grub.

Yea sorry one and all, got a bit time consuming uploading to 2 FB groups and here so I afraid I feel behind on here, but fair to say great roads, adventures and cake were had by all during the 10 day trip and all cars made it home after the trip under their own steam.
Keen to check out Scotland again at some time
