Hello all,
Ever wondered how much power your car actually produces?
SKCC, in conjunction with Complete Kit Car magazine, has booked a rolling road day at Atspeed Racing in Rayleigh, Essex, on Sunday 9th May.
Each car will get three runs on the dyno and, as well as finding out how much power your car is producing, you'll get a video of the runs, guidance on what your car needs to increase its power and an appearance in the Complete Kit Car review of the event. If the weather permits (and let's hope it does in May!), Atspeed also provide a barbecue. All for £40.
The start time is to be confirmed, but will probably be around 9am. That means we'd be finished by mid-afternoon allowing time for a blat in the afternoon for those who want to.
Booking details will follow. At the moment, we just need a show of hands - Atspeed need a minimum of 10 cars to make the day a goer.

Re: CKC/SKCC Rolling Road Shootout
Hi Adam. I'm actually supposed to be in Monza that weekend for WSB. That said, it's looking less and less likely that I will actually be able to attend that (passport expired and I hate flying!) so I might be in. Doesn't seem to clash with anything else on the calender. I'll have a look later.

Blimey Adam timing is everything. When the 4AGE is in the Indy I will be very interested but with the X-Flow in the fan cooling it will be producing more power!
£40 is a bargain.

Re: CKC/SKCC Rolling Road Shootout
Hi Adam, my first time on here after recieving an invitation on locost builders. I was lucky to be in the mag in Sep 2008 so would love to make a return to it.
We had the car tested at Detling last year 110bhp, think it could make a bit more with a tune up, is this on offer at all as well.
I will ask her eindoors but would love to come along.
Richard.

Adam,
Put me down for this. I was going to have it done at Detling anyway.

Re: CKC/SKCC Rolling Road Shootout
my engine was setup at AtSpeed. they really know what they are doing, when they run the car on the rollers they keep an eye on the afr timing etc and will abort the run if there is any slight chance of popping the engine. if you are running efi you can tweak it on each run.
