Just a heads up that Motorsport At The Palace is on next weekend at Crystal Palace Park in South London., Fantastic day (s) out, There is a "Kitcar Village" hosted by one of the magazines and lots to do for the family like a mini " Diggerland" and such. Also lots of classic and sportscars will be on display from various car clubs. I am competing in my mini ( Phoenix is broken so had to swap cars ) on the Sunday and Jeff is competing too on one of the days I think. Well worth a visit especially if the sun is out, 100+ cars do a timed sprint through the park using part of the old historical racetrack ( Google it ) and the fastest cars reach 80 mph or so on what is now effectively an armco'd narrow bumpy public footpath!!! Come and say hi if you go.

Hi Mark, I will still be there as camping over Sunday nigh with copious amounts of beer, will come over and find you to say hi on Monday. Have you changed much from your car last year? ( I think you competed last year? ). What time are you trying to better?

I'll be camping Sunday night too, prob get there around luchtime so I can have a look around and watch some of the racing.

41.43 is the target i'm hoping to beat from lat year but I need to be more brave in the trees on the final bend, it was quite greasy in there last year.

The car hasn't changed any, just look out for a Crimson Westfield in the paddock and seek out the smell of my BBQ 8-)

We will have a beer in the evening deffo. My best last year in the mini was 41.07. Either way i'd like to get into the 40's, a 39 might me asking a bit too much... :o All I have done is have some negative camber brackets to the back to curb the OVERSTEER, we set it up so it is really pointy at the front and it is hilarious fun like that but I waste time feathering the throttle and winding the oppo on, certainly not textbook mini handling.... I need an LSD desperately too as it just lights it tyres up too easily but funds at the mo cannot justify it.

That last corner is the key though you are right, it could go horribly s***-shaped through there definitely!!!

Come and say hi.
