I met up with Colin,Duncan and Kev for a 60 mile run from edenbridge to henfold lakes.
I arrived at the start first to be joined fairly soon after by Duncan. I got a message from Kev to say he’d had a problem and wouldn’t be long, followed by a text from Colin to say his road had been blocked so was running late also. Soon after we’d done some repairs on Kev’s car Colin turned up and we was away.
I soon found that my radio wasn’t working properly I could hear the others but my mic wasn’t working. It was a good run with the usual missed turnings and Satnav differences causing the leader to swap around a few times. The takeaway breakfast at henfold was good but there was only one guy serving and cooking it seemed so was a little slow.
Sorry no photos from me but I’m sure one of the others will have some.

Well done all. Myself, Kenton, Steve and new guy Paddy did 80 odd miles around Beachyhead this morning too - here are the piccys to prove it happened

Now the bad bit
On route to Sussex caravan centre
Going through a village with a slight bend and a big van parked up on my right side. Just as I got to the van, a car appeared. Braked, locked up and I was along for the ride.
Hedge 1 - Tiger 0
Proper wedged into the hedge, took a bit of to-ing and fro-ing and with some help with the people who run me off the road, got the car out.

Surprisingly not a great deal of damage.

Rear arch and side mirror ripped off.
So I’ve now got a bit more work to do and I think I need some new tyres :D

Funny bit

Sounds like a good run out guys and great for you to find some food at the end!

Kev, gutted for you about the hedge incident! Unlucky! At least you're ok and the car is not too bad.

I met up with Tony, Kenton and newbie Paddy at Buckbarn. Good to meet you paddy. Hope to see you out again soon!

We enjoyed a great, trouble-free run to the coast. Beautiful day for it and not too much traffic but quite a few cyclists about!

I like your photo Steve, nice angle :)
Good to hear you had a good run too. It's a shame that we can't all meet up for now, I think 8 cars together might have been tricky to explain to the police :(

First of all as other people have said, great to see a few of us getting out and I'm glad to see we are in different areas, spreading the skcc love.
Thanks Matt for organizing, great run, lovely country lanes and u turns to thrown in for good measure.
After a couple of wrong turns and some missed turns I found myself out in front and stayed there till i missed the final turn of for the lakes Doh.
I think Duncan said this last week, If we organised a run from different starting points, we could all meet up at a venue, the lakes we went to today had plenty of room for us all and it was of the beaten track ?
Hope to catch up with you all again soon.

Sound an interesting day, mine started at 5:30am, water leak and after fitting new gearbox mount yesterday the engine angle has now changed and so the bonnet needed some more trimming. Anyway by 8am I was away and did half the Lydd ring before noticing a nasty vibration, the new mount had settled in and now hitting the chassis rails.. doh back to the workshop for some more shims tomorrow.
Then spent the rest of the day removing a kitchen, only for the oven to part company with the trailer on the way home.

Looking forward to getting out on some runs again, seem to be spending too much time fixing and not driving.

Good to see some of you managed to get out today. Maybe a joint end point for next week with a few different runs
