New years day Run / Brooklands classic car meet

Sorry I did not make it!

After a 1am bedtime (planned) we are looking after "BIG SID" an 8-stone Old English Sheepdog for 2 weeks and he would not settle due to fireworks and strange surroundings. Our restless night was then made worse by some IDIOT who text our landline at 4am, setting off all the phones and waking everyone including the dog with a pointless " Happy New Year" automated robot voice message. I rang back the unknown text number immediately and left a voice mail NOT full of seasonal cheer I assure you, W*****S! Then the arguments with Elaine started and the dog started howling.... Long story shortened, we got up around lunchtime......

Sounds like it was a good meet though!
