Although the classic does go round the clock, the fact that it's divided up into separate races really loses the endurance element. For the proper 24 hours, it's good to wake up on the Sunday morning and see that they're still going. The modern stuff suits the venue more, too. The old cars are great, but there are better places to watch them (like Goodwood or the VSCC meetings at UK circuits) than the expanses of modern Le Mans.

That said, it makes a change from the main event and I don't like to let a year slip past with out going to Le Mans for one or other of them.

Kev - its a pub on the main A20, its on the south side of West Kingsdown approx 2 miles south of Brands - looking at a map its opposite School Lane West Kingsdown.

Bill - it'll be the chippy on the mini roundabout by the harbour - just across from our usual Cafe.

I'm still in for this one but I'm working in 'the smoke' tomorrow and might not get back in time, is anyone else from the Uckfield area planning to go?

paul - I'll call you when I'm on my way back from London, might be too late but we'll see

Another good drive down to Rye for fish and chips.
Unfortunately one of my candles had burnt out (now fixed) so had to rely on the sat nav to tell me where the road was as the other one was pointing up at the stars.
See you all on another one.
By the way Adam your fog light seemed to come on when you went over a bump.
Long drive for Paul but i think he enjoyed playing in the dark Scary!

Weather was topper and atmosphere very relaxed. Great blat back along the Military Rd to. Even with "Joe Lucus Prince of Darkness" at the healm not a single track road in sight :!: Mind you did you see his eyes when the light faded  didn't need the lights at all :D

Great to see everyone and hope you all got back safely.
