Right here's the challenge. We're going to make a short and long list of questions to ask/drill further into when looking at buying a kit car. Why? Because many of us get all excited and forget to ask some telling questions. Once we have the list then we'll refine it and make it a 'sticky' for folks to refer to.
1 point per person to give everyone a chance to contribute, but a supplementary question/point is fine if it's linked to the possible response ie/ is it the original colour ( if not what does the V5 say on this point).

So fill your boots and remember to keep cutting/pasting the answers so that the list remains intact.

1/ V5 - what is the car registered as.
2/ What has it been used for used it for by all the owners / trackdays / genral driving / touring
3/ Do you have any paperwork with the car? Fastidious owners/builders will always have a folder of MOT certificates, servicing bills or parts receipts if home serviced and possibly build photos.
4/ How many owners
5/why are you selling
6/ Vin number and rev for checks if you've not yet viewed
7/ Would you welcome an independent inspection of the car? (I've never done this, but a less than positive reaction might ring alarm bells)
8/what engine ,gearbox, ecu is it running if not yet stated
9/is there a dyno read out: ( as opposed to baseless statement about power). By who/when.
10. has it been Iva'd/Sva'd
11. Does it come with heated seats and a heater because im getting old and fagile LOL.
12. Has it ever been involved in an accident?

12. If not yet IVA'd what is the situation with the donor. ie has it been SORN'd and the V5 been kept when the donor remains was destroyed. (If not high chance of a Q plate)
