5/6 point harness fittings

No reason why you can't use inertia belts to do all of these things, 4/5/6 point harnesses don't work correctly unless they are tight.

My belts are all ways very tight for some reason not sure why this is.

I thought i may have to let my seat belts out a couple of clicks or wear less clothes this year

I really don't think that in a kit an inertia belt is safer than a four point harness.
In a modern car, it is accepted there is always slack in the inertia belts and they have pre-tensioners to correct this. No kit is going to have pre-tensioners.
Old style 3 point belts like Volvo introduced in the 60s didn't even have the inertia reel part, and yet they still saved a lot of people from flying through the toughened glass screen or being injured by the steering wheel.
On the road, I have the lap straps on my four point harness tight across my pelvis, but leave the shoulder straps loose enough to allow a bit of movement at junctions. Ok, I might get fractured collar bones in a big shunt, but I definitely won't be worse off than I would be in an older saloon with inertia reel 3 point belt without a pre-tensioner.
I had a pretty bad accident in my old Lotus Elan with a fixed 3 point belt (which was very old!). I got a bruise from the buckle, a bruise on my collar bone, a bruised knee where it hit the ignition lock and I bent the steering wheel (like Stirling Moss, a right pain as they weren't available and I had to straighten it afterwards). However, there was no submarining despite a very flimsy seat and reclined driving position, and I walked away from a car with a destroyed front end and the nearside front wheel pushed back by a foot...........
I completely agree with you Jeff, on track it is best to have: full cage, 6 point harness, hans device, flame proof clothes, plumbed in fire extinguisher.........
On the road, I'm happy with four point harness, as I think it is better than nothing and in my opinion, better than a 3 point inertia reel belt which I can't even adjust so the lap strap is tight.
