All you need is a piezo sounder like this;

...or one of these if you can put it in a small box;

Alternatively how about an ordinary automotive relay so you get a "tick" or click? Just wire the coil across the warning lamp.

As I said, I have already tried just fitting a buzzer, and found it very annoying. £12 to get silence most of the time and only buzzing on the occasions I have forgotten the indicator seemed worth a try.

I've used the second reference I gave, albeit in my case I'd built my own flasher unit. Either way, you should get a "peep" not a horrible harsh buzz.

Just stick a relay on, you'll get an old fashioned clunky click.

OK, finally found time to fit this.

It was very easy, with two piggy back spade connectors attached to the indicator switch, and the earth to the nearest convenient bolt.

It was possible to adjust the delay from about three flashes to 20. I have set it to come on after 18, having driven around counting flashes at each junction :roll: , I found it was usually less than 16 flashes before I switched off the indicator. Hopefully, I will only get the warning when I have forgotten to switch off.

The buzzer is loud enough to be heard with ear defenders on.

Hope this helps :)
