westfield 11

Postby greenwoo » Fri Oct 20, 2017 4:06 pm

Have to say that i love the look of the '11', and by chance someone sent me a link to a new utube channel.......
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwZeY1UItds

Now i've never vlogged and am never likely to, but if i did boy could i take something away from this........in terms of how not to do it!
'it feels twice as fast, 30 feels like 60, 40 feels like 80'....no poop sherlock, i did maths too at school.
' i've never flown a aircraft but it feels like i'm i'm flying a spitfire'....a/ how would you know b/ really - you're pootling at 25mph

anyway, back to the car, love it - but probably not so handy on a 'proper' back lane......

Like these, on my secret shortlist, but I'm worried I might sit too tall in one. Like the idea of having to work the car to keep the speed up.

Nice car :)

Shame he's wearing his harness like a bra........

I'm sure you are right Mark. I remember reading that in the early days of Lotus, they had a very twisty back road route to test the cars and the Seven was always quickest.

The naff presentation would put a stop on the project for me

The 11 is a nice car, that one isn't, the panel fit is atrocious,
Thats was probably spelt wrong, or had some grammer, that the "grammer police have to have a moan at

I agree with your sentiments about the presenter..
Before building the Luego felicitys dad with help from yours truly built one. First time SVA pass too.
Not a bad kit but the clamshell body sections were a pain to close and lock into place. Scrapped 2 MG's in the search for parts, the A series engine gives enough grunt. Ideally he wanted a Coventry Climax to be period correct. The worse thing about it was the diabolical turning circle. I have pics but it was before I went digital.

Very pretty car, saw this tidy example recently, now if only I had a donor :)

Re: the video - I stand by my original assessment (to Mark), that being “Jesus this guy’s a c***!”

The popularity of YouTube combined with readily available high quality recording equipment has given rise to a situation where people think they can do it. Here’s proof not everyone can :) A classic case of trying way too hard.

Also...

Saw a nice 11 that was turning heads in Brighton seafront for the classic & kit car run this year. Driven by a couple of birds donning some Penelope Pitstop clobber.
