Right then, I’ve replaced the windscreen and made sure that water isn’t getting in under, through or round it. I suspected that water was getting in under the screen and dropping in down the heater vents.
Having eliminated that and re-taped around the pedal box etc I suspect that the water is in fact getting in via the holes cut out of the body work (under the scuttle panel) for the wipers.
Need to come up with some sort of bung that allows the spindles that the wipers attach to to still rotate freely.......
Any bright ideas?

Re: Waterproofing
To be honest, I just gave up and drilled holes in the floor!
I get water on the floors, probably from somewhere under the scuttle, but it is negligible compared to what comes in around the sidescreens and hood in bad weather. When it gets too bad, I take the plugs out of the floor and let it out

Perhaps I should drive with a beer garden umbrella?
I think I’ve sussed it. There are two rubber bungs in the kit that I bought for the wiper system that was going back as was not needed. I keep robbing bits so it’s going to have to stay!
The wiper arm driver passes through the bungs which are cut half way diagonally so when you stighten down the screw they press together and splay out slightly to block the hole.
It’s a windscreen off job as the scuttle panel needs to be taken off and I can’t see a way of doing that without removing the windscreen. Shame really as the windscreen has only just been refitted and is actually done quite well. Dam.

Why do you need to take the windscreen off ? Isn’t there two bolts both sides along the bottom edges ?? Just undo those and remove the scuttle with screen attached??
