Did it myself a couple of years ago, it was a right PITA to get it done as you need specialist pullers but it was satisfying as it was the only part of the car I hadn't rebuilt 8-)
MkII Marlin Roadster with Ford 2.0L Pinto and Type 9 gearbox. Going for the oily rag restoration look :-)

Had mine rebuilt at BGH a couple of years ago. Long first and closer ratios. My choice of 5th is a tad low so might change that one day. Only after refitting it did I realise how unsuitable the standard ratios are for a Seven. It now stays in the power band and feels much quicker.

Could try https://www.tracsport.com/ if they're close. They have one of the longest first out there, if you're looking for a change. Dunno if it works with standard 2nd 3rd etc (like the BGH one does).

I've got the BGH box (E8) and had the internals shoved in to a quaife ally case by Chris. That was around the £500 mark.

I used Road & Race for the diff. Just make sure you know exactly what they want. I went there with the axle with the diff inside. They wanted the diff nose only. But there were really really good about it. I felt like a massive tw@.

They're all much of a muchness.

''tracsport'' - bloody hell....that's not a cheap option.
Would love a box from them but the £'s are much higher than bgh as the whole gearkit/ratios are different (not just 1st/5th)....
