So here is a video I did for one of our road trips which shows what I carry and how I pack it. Hope it helps?
It also includes Capt Slows support vehicle and a taste for the kinds of things we do on a road trip. Many more videos are available.

Maybe I should have also added that it’s for use when I have a passenger
Depends if the passenger can be deflated when not in use.

Re: Luggage Rack ideas
You could always do as you suggested and strap them to the rollbar.

Now the serious reply. A couple of shower proof bags held on with bungy cords.

I always used the softbits bag too, I think the main advantage to it is that you can just unclip it and take it to your hotel room plus it’s easy to get off if you need anything in your boot box, some times over thinking/engineering creates problems

Agree and if you pack everything inside vacuum bags it allows you to pack more and it's all waterproof. The vacuum can be created without difficulty or mechanical aid! (Choosing my words carefully as I know what company I'm in)!!!!.

Re: Luggage Rack ideas
Hi Rod,
The picture below is taken from my Fisher Fury when i bought it. I've since removed the rack because the passenger footwell will be used for luggage. It clamped onto the roll bar and is made from tube which is either bent to shape and/or fixed together with 'tee' couplers. The rear of your car sits quite high compared to the top of the roll bar, so it may not be an option as the weight of the luggage will be high and may unsettle the car. I'd avoid too much weight high up at the rear, on a previous roadtrip one of our party complained of poor handling with too much weight above/behind the rear wheels. Perhaps just pack light and take a good deodorant?
