Rolling Road again

Those last few bhp's and torques are always silly expensive, the worry I'm finding is trying to get the balance between power and reliability, I'm hoping at some point I can push mine to 240bhp but I run the risk of becoming one of the few that need a rebuild every year! Not to mention similar figures to jeffs post!

The problem with supercharged or turbo both need new rods and pistons to lower the compression ratio.... Never ending circle of mass expense!

he recons the st engine is ok ,looking at a mini copper s bloower ,cost about £1500 ,if it works not to bad, thats fitted,run about 13psi ,second hand intercooler ,run it of altornator belt ,

Ar you will have to change the pistons and rods in yours ,thats the £500 ,you will buy cheep zetec engines :lol: :lol:

paul.keep the t5 box,just aquire a cosworth to bolt on to it,i got a spare turbo if thats any use

the t5 box he has got for sale £400 ,i want the power from low rpm and constant not a suden rush mid bend ,so thats were the blower comes in to it's own ,full woosh at 1500 rpm, nice , cheers paul

We should do a proper 0-60 0-100 50-80 back to back test on a disused road somewhere as all this talk of Bhp and Torques is nothing its how the car performs that counts.
