i kinda agree with steveRST. i liked the aston bit but the shooting each other bit just felt like they were having a lot of fun messing about, it wasnt total poop but its a bit to biased towards messing about with some cars thrown in rather than cars with some messing about thrown in. i think they need to decide are they a car show or a lad mucking about show

The Aston Vulcan bit was good - car looked and sounded amazing. But that was about it for me - the whole Jordanian piece was far too repetitive (and not very funny) and just felt protracted with very little substance.

Hoping next episode will be better with more 'car stuff'.

+1, pretty much as expected.

You know, I get that sentiment and there is a balance to be had, which will vary from viewer to viewer. I, for example, like the mucking about as it appeals to my infantile sense of humour but I do think there should be more car stuff.

Here's a thing though, if it was just car stuff how long would the popularity last? Fifth Gear for example is car stuff but is boring and not many people watch it.

I do think there is too much emphasis on the three amigos which needs to tone down and I hate the "American" test pilot! He will become properly annoying very soon (although he can clearly drive).

Beautifully made though!!

I do believe, most of you are aware of my hatred for these three,
and the drivel, they produce, wether it be top gear or groundhog day,
But I would like to explain,

I do like JC, but on his own, hes funny, and says some things, that no one else can, and get away with, I do genuinely think hes ok

I do like JM, he's intelligent, knowledgable, and has had some good programme's on he's own

The short idiot (yep I know, im a short idiot, !!!) I can not abide him, I do not think he is funny at all, but just a village idiot, he plays to the camera, but I have never thought he was remotely funny at all, no just a sad fucker

To go further with my thoughts, I am unable to watch any form of reality programme, be it, strictly cum dancing, or im a ooops get me out of here, or the worst drivel on TV Big Brother, or the Essex idiots programme, and theres a Chelsea one I believe

I am fully aware of the above crap, as my wife (zero intelligence, and I told her so) watches all this crap, not because she wants to, but its on, when there's nothing else on TV she watches, brilliant TV planners !

So Phil N, asked

"What TV programmes do you enjoy Steve?"

I really enjoy most of the Discovery channels, be it Gold rush, anything space related, WW2, Mars, any Aircraft related, some Car progs, Gas Monkey etc and anything to do with history, yet when I was at school, I HATED the subject.
I also like the Chase, Mastermind, Egg heads, and the like, but the ones with the penny machine dropping coins, do not know the name, or pointless, fall into the crap related load of twaddle

What i do watch, is anything that can capture me for 30 mins/hour, and preferably not a series, as being an ex shift worker, i have missed more "ends" to plots than i can remember, and seem to of fallen into a trap, although with catchup etc, i can watch all of them, yet never seem to

Steve
Thats was probably spelt wrong, or had some grammer, that the "grammer police have to have a moan at

Strictly cum dancing

I've just watched the 2nd episode and must say I came away feeling a bit disappointed. Did they blow all the budget on the grand opening of episode 1? (which ive watched again twice!).
Even the Mrs said they needed some cars which surprised me, I think they milked the military challenge by repeating the same stuff over and over again.
Don't worry sTeve M I'm not becoming a hater!

Just watched episode 2, and feel there is still something missing from the show. Perhaps the TG/GT format has just had its day. IMHO the old episodes of TG are still better, the Sprite versus Peugeot challenge, the 80's hot hatch challenge, the BTCC driver races, etc. We'll see, I'll watch the next one before deciding
Tiger Cat E1 - 2008-2009
Tiger R6 - 2009-2014
Austin Healey Sprite - 2014-2018
Fisher Fury Le Mans - 2018-2019
