I have a 20 lbs pressure warning light on the Westfield just to make feel reassured. Thought I would fit one to the Caterham.

The Morgan has a very low sump and the oil filter sticks out below it so Morgan are making a wooden (I do like a bit of ash) sump guard so the low pressure light is OK.

I did it a few years ago by using a pressure switch to drive a relay which would only engage when pressure was enough to start engine as cranked on starter.. But otherwise a large warning light and a sounder when engine in normal operating conditions.

( I had to make my own PCB with a Mini relay on and an override to ensure the ability to start when needed ) All available RS components.

My ECU wont let the engine fire up until it has oil pressure, usually 5 or 6 seconds cranking. I also have a 20 psi switch that controls a light

You could install an override button that you could press when starting (or in the outside lane of the M25)

Not sure I'd be calm enough to remember that!
