I've also just calibrated the tacho, it was reading 2000 at an ECU stated 2500, so to get to an indicated 4500 for the noise measuring, I'd have had to rev it to 5100. Yes I di think if setting it the other way, but thought they might notice.

Matt, there is a MSTV track day/evening today at Brands, you could go get a noise test for free,
They said to me I could drive in any time there was a MSTV day.

The key thing with noise tests is to bring the revs up smoothly to the required RPM and not to overshoot and lift off as that tends to generate more noise. I've also noticed that your cars seem to generate a lot of induction noise which won't help with the drive bys.

I am hoping to go down there later if the perforated pipe I ordered has turned up and I've had time to do it. I'm going to try Tony T's tube inside the silencer trick
