you could always kill 2 birds and treat yourself to a full flat floor set up for the car, so that its perfectly set up for you during which they'll tell you what the overall weight is if you need to know to within a few kg's.

Ha ha Mark. That’s exactly my thinking. :D

Now I’ve driven on track a fair few times I’ve come to the conclusion that she’s nicely balanced and handles and stops very well (in my opinion). So I’m not sure I want to mess with it all....

That said I’ve had a car ‘done’ before when I’ve known there to be a problem and it’s transformed the car. Quite remarkably actually. Hummmm something to think about.

There’s also then the issue of finding somewhere (preferably locally) that actually knows what they are doing rather than claims to be an expert but can only stake a stab in the dark because the settings are not on their computer (or what ever excuse they come up with). That’s what I’ve had previously. Found a place in Essex for that but it was the best part of 10 years ago! Might dig out the invoice and see if they are still about.

When you start changing suspension setup it's always worth keeping a note of how it was set up at the start, that way you can return it to the last know working setup if the tweaks make it worse.
MkII Marlin Roadster with Ford 2.0L Pinto and Type 9 gearbox. Going for the oily rag restoration look :-)
