they need to try and make stuff and then drive it somewhere, or go on epic challenge road trips thats what i would like to see.

when they called it the grand tour i was kinda hoping they would be doing driving challenges between locations.

Episode 1 - Not bad, intro showed great potential.
Episode 2 - Bit tedious, found myself looking at my watch.
Episode 3 - Probably make or break as to whether I continue to watch the series.

Some parts of the Chris Evan's show were better. Some of the new show just looks cheap, e.g. the somebody pulling a string to lift the cloth door on the tent as the presenters enter.

Please don't do the dead celeb in the next episode. That joke is over!

i think the dead celeb bit is a poke in the BBC's eye as now they don't have to interview celebs and do the star in a reasonably priced car. there is certainly an undertone to that part of the show.

I'm speculating here but they were fed up with that bit of the old show and the bbc kept forcing it in or they wanted to do celeb interviews and it got blocked. As they had paid the celebs to come on the show anyway they just do a silly kill them off bit as they cant show the interviews due to it being too close to the BBC format.

Hadn't thought about celebs being a poke at BBC IP.

Did enjoy EP3 more than the last. Agree that they need to do some proper road trip/adventures. Maybe that is too BBC? Quite pleased that the American stig replacement was absent or did I just (luckily) miss that bit?

Maybe an even better formula would be the existing GT format for the chat show/banter content, supplemented by Mr Harris (really liked his Vulcan video this week) where decent cars can be done justice with just the right amount of humour (I've been told to keep it on setting 1, oooopps! ;) )

Agree about Chris Harris but he sold his sole to the BBC so suspect he is locked in/out?!

American driver is going to wear very quickly as is the celeb piece.

I love the show for both it's production values which are cutting edge and the humour. Old man banter! I resemble the remark!!

It's a great watch, but not worth paying for. (I mean I think? Because I'm poor as a church mouse lol)

The two part Beach Buggy Special was a welcome return to the previous 'specials', well worth a watch if you haven't already
Tiger Cat E1 - 2008-2009
Tiger R6 - 2009-2014
Austin Healey Sprite - 2014-2018
Fisher Fury Le Mans - 2018-2019
